It's a homestay: a family property with four guest rooms, run by a small team who live locally and cook for you. October to March is the easiest weather: dry, warm days and cooler mornings, good for the river and the beaches. April and May get hot and humid. June to September is the monsoon, which is green and dramatic, and it's also the traditional season for Ayurvedic treatment.

We think so. The river runs high, the garden is at its greenest and the rain on the roof is the best sleeping sound there is. Boat trips depend on the river on the day, so we'll plan those around the weather. Monsoon is also the classic season for Ayurveda.
