What the pool is actually like
It's a long, rectangular pool raised on a timber deck. A short flight of wooden steps leads up from the garden, and there are steel handrails at the ladder. On the river side there's a glass railing, and beyond it the Korapuzha. When you're in the water you're looking across the river at coconut palms on the far bank.
Loungers and towels are out on the deck. By late morning the water has warmed up, and the hot middle of the day is when most people use it. After dark the underwater lights come on and the pool glows against the black river.
The pool is for people staying at BelleVue and nobody else. There are no day passes and no outside visitors.
Two ways to book it
The whole villa. Take all four rooms and the house is yours: the pool, the barbecue deck, the jetty and the long garden, with nobody else around. That's one river-view suite, two King's Comfort Rooms and a twin room, all air-conditioned with their own shower rooms. This is the version people mean when they search for a private pool villa. A single room. Book one room and you still get the pool. With four rooms in the house, it's never crowded. Couples usually choose the Riverside Bliss Suite, which has its own balcony over the river.

Our own jetty walks out to a thatched gazebo over the Korapuzha. Speedboat, canoe and fishing trips leave from here with local boatmen.

You won't find a better homestay in Kozhikode! Bellevue offers amenities that are on par with a resort. Chef Muneera serves the most authentic and delicious Malabari cuisine.
